BOTOX

BOTOX Cosmetic

Neurotoxins are injectable compounds that relax muscles, smoothing out lines and wrinkles. There are several brands of neurotoxins, commonly referred to as Botox®. Xeomin® is essentially a highly purified form of Botox. Botox® and Xeomin® target specific areas of the face and neck to relax muscle tension and smooth lines and wrinkles. Cosmetic treatments using neurotoxins typically last up to four months.

Treatment Options:
  • Forehead lines
  • Crows feet
  • Brow lift
  • Lip flip
  • Bunny lines
  • Hyperhidrosis
  • Masseter (TMJ)

Who Should Consider Botox Injections?

Botox is for patients in good health aged 20 to 70, who are interested in reducing facial and neck lines. Our physician will work with you to evaluate which specific treatments are right for you. We’ll provide you with detailed information on all your options so you can make an informed decision about what is best for you.

What To Expect During Treatment?

First, we create a treatment plan that’s customized for you. Since neurotoxins provide temporary results, your plan will likely include 3-4 visits per year to achieve optimal results while maintaining a consistent look. The neurotoxin is administered in a series of targeted injections that normally take about 15 minutes once started. You may notice some minor swelling or redness, which normally dissipates quickly.

What Are The Results Of The Botox Cosmetic Treatments?

After treatment, many people begin noticing that lines start smoothing in 24 to 48 hours. Improvement continues for several days afterward to produce optimal results. Treatments last for three to four months before they need to be repeated. The long term treatment plan you create with our staff will determine when to schedule your next treatment.

    Microneedling with PRP

No matter how hard you try you can’t avoid the effects of aging forever. However, you don’t have to accept wrinkles, lines, acne scars and sagging or discolored skin as part of your inevitable future. At Advanced Aesthetics MediSpa, we now offer the most effective treatments to actually improve your skin health and diminish lines and wrinkles. One of these options is microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP). If you haven’t yet heard about it, you could be missing out on an ideal solution to improve the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and even acne-scarred skin.

Microneedling (also called collagen induction therapy) is a cosmetic procedure that minimizes the signs of aging and improves the tone and texture of your facial skin. Some doctors and medical community regard microneedling as the most powerful way to stop the signs of aging and prevent new lines and wrinkles. During a microneedling treatment, we use a special device that contains a collection of tiny needles. As the needles move over your skin, they create tiny puncture wounds in the surface. Your body attempts to heal these microinjuries by producing new collagen to repair the apparent damage. In reality, microneedling isn’t harmful at all, but rather it’s a collagen-inducing stimulant for aging or scarred skin. Microneedling combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a highly effective way to heal your skin from the inner layers outward.

Microneedling with PRP can improve a variety of skin and aging concerns, including:
    • Crow’s feet
    • Lines and wrinkles around your nose and mouth
    • Deep forehead lines
    • Loose skin
    • Large pores
    • Acne and acne scars
    • Sunspots and areas of uneven pigmentation
The numerous benefits of microneeding and PRP include:
    • Minimally invasive
    • Minimal downtime
    • Natural treatment option
    • No risk of overheating or burning the skin from laser energy
    • New collagen production that continues for several weeks after a treatment
    • Improved skin radiance and firmness
    • Long lasting results
    • A simple procedure that uses your own blood rather than manufactured ingredients.
When you come to Advanced Aesthetics MediSpa for a microneedling with PRP treatment, Dr. White draws a small amount of blood from your arm, like you would experience for a typical blood analysis. We process your blood in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the red blood cells. While we prepare your PRP, you relax comfortably. The treatment may cause brief minimal discomfort but is highly effective at stimulating cell turnover and increasing collagen and elastin production – the support structure for a healthy, firm, smooth skin tone.

    PRP Hair Restoration

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy, as it relates to hair loss, refers to the use of a patient’s own platelet cells from their blood to stimulate hair growth. Platelets are a part of our blood cells and they are rich in various growth factors and cytokines that have the potential to stimulate hair growth. PRP, is increasingly being used in medical treatments around the world. PRP has been used by physicians since the 1990′s in various areas of medicine. PRP is increasingly being accepted as a bona-fide hair loss treatment. Treatments involve preparing a small amount of the patient’s own blood into a powerful serum to help initiate hair growth. It is a non-surgical approach that takes advantage of the growth promoting components of blood. PRP is rich in numerous growth factors that stimulate hair follicles.

How is a PRP session conducted?
A single PRP session takes approximately 45-60 minutes. The following steps outline the process:

    1. A patient’s blood is taken from the arm similar to getting a blood test
    2. The patient’s blood is processed into the platelet fraction and the nutrients in the platelets
    3. The patient’s scalp is “numbed up” with local freezing medications
    4. The platelet rich components (PRP) are injected back into the scalp

    When are improvements seen?

Improvements are seen about 4-6 months after the PRP injection session.

How often are PRP sessions repeated?
A booster PRP session is done again at week 4-8 followed by a third session 4-8 weeks after that. If proving helpful, PRP is repeated every 4 -6 months.

We highly recommend a Keravive Treatment prior to PRP hair restoration to properly cleanse the scalp for maximum results.
